Rhonda K. Hollis, PhD, MSN, BSN, RN

Southeast Regional Director

The Southeast Region Board of Directors is proud to announce the launch of our long awaited website. Our Technology Committee worked very hard to incorporate all of the requests that members suggested to make our website awesome.

The Southeast Region is one of five (5) Regions of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated. Chi Eta Phi is an international nonprofit service organization composed of Registered nurses and nursing students. The sorority was chartered in 1932 at Freedman’s Hospital, now Howard University Hospital in Washington DC.

In 1946, a committee was established to divide the states into regional districts. In 1954, the Southeast Region became the second officially organized region of the sorority. This organization took place at the Veteran’s Administration Nurses’ Home, Tuskegee, Alabama. States in this region include Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. At its inception, the Region had five (5) graduate chapters and one (1) undergraduate chapter. Today the Region has grown to 32 (thirty-two) graduate chapters and 11 (eleven) undergraduate chapters.
